We are delighted to offer this very rare Lamborghini Diablo SV-R Race Car for sale the only one in the UK and a unique piece of Italian brands motorsport history. One of only 31 SV-R's officially built at the Automobili Lamborghini SpA factory in 1996 and one of only 4 painted in the launch colour Giallo/Yellow. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1996 the Diablo SV-R is a lightweight competition version of the SV road car version and the very first Lamborghini model run to be officially built for motorsport purpose.
This particular SV-R chassis number ending LA12569 No: 08/31 took part in all three seasons of the Supertrophy series and was owned by Lease Plan from new, who hired it to a number of drivers in 1996-97 it was driven by Rob Peacock and George Von Opel and then was one of several SV-R's used by Fabio Santaniello to win the championship in 1997. Originally painted in Red it was then repainted Giallo/Yellow which it served in most of its competitive life in and remains today.
From 1998 to 2000 the SV-R LA12569 was raced in the French GT series FFSA championship at selective circuit such as Le Mans, Magny-Cours, Nogaro, Ledenon and Dijon. It was run by a Swiss based race team Auto Vitesse No: 38 and was driven by a number of drivers which included Ferdinand De Lesseps and Christophe d'Ansembourg a regular driving paring in this series in period.
In early 2002 the SV-R LA12569 was sold and imported from Europe to the USA and was purchased by a former IMSA and GTP driver and was used at some national open sport car events in 2003 and 2004. Since then, it had not been entered in any competitive events and only took part on selective track days and had been professional stored throughout its time in the USA. Combined with regular maintenance and servicing had been carried out on the SV-R in recent years by a Lamborghini Specialist in Southern California USA which included a new fuel delivery system to be fitted with new pumps/filters and lines along with a new alternator and all fluids and oils changed. The current owner purchased the SV-R LA12569 in 2017 and imported the race car into the UK covering all import and tax duties in the process. This is the only Lamborghini Diablo SV-R in the UK at this moment in time as far as we know and has been stored professional since it arrived here and maintained with a new battery just fitted and major engine service work including new oil and filter change, new spark plugs, new clutch linkage rod fitted which has just been carried out in April/May of 2021 by Lamborghini factory trained technician using factory approved parts. It has undergone a full detailed clean and preparation including suspension/chassis repainting. It also comes with a comprehensive spares package which includes one set of original SV-R Speedline wheel rims with used slick tyres on, a complete road specification exhaust box system, along with the heat shields. 6 road specification shock absorbers and springs 2 for the front and 4 rear units. Spare front and rear brake discs along with handbrake callipers and cables and a compete rear road SV bumper unit with lights also a large selection of interior trim parts with a new AC fan and heater matrix. All of which is 70% of the parts required to convert the SV-R to road use if required and the Lamborghini Factory certificate package of originally can supplied as well at an extra cost. This is a totally original and very rare Diablo SV-R with confirmed chassis and build numbers by the Lamborghini factory and has covered a total of 16,036 Km from new and is fitted with a GTR carbon rear wing and road specification factory SV seats. It has not been restored and is therefore shows the signs of a long competitive history. It is a running and operational example but would require some recommission work on suspension and braking systems to make it fully serviceable. The SV-R is available for viewing by appointment only with us in the Berkshire area of the UK, this V12 Lamborghini is without doubt the ultimate Diablo and one of the most iconic supercars of the period.

This was originally supplied through an official UK Ferrari dealer and started its life as a standard 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole road car in 1984. It has passed through 3 enthusiastic owners and in 2001 the owner at that time wanted to compete in the car and commissioned the start of a professional and comprehensive upgrade package to produce what is now a very exciting and unequalled 308 making this truly one of the best variations of this iconic model from Maranello.
The increase in engine and chassis performance has been achieved by bespoke work carried out by Ferrari specialists Shiltech Performance Cars Ltd & Modena Holdings to the tune of £80,000. The main modifications are on the engine using new heads, injectors, dry sump and new cooling systems throughout, titanium exhaust, competition clutch, AP racing discs pads and callipers on the front axle and alcon units on the rear axle, adjustable suspension units, composite doors and rear engine cover, extinguisher system and kevlar racing seats, full roll cage and harnesses. Combined with an extensive and no expense spared service history and file dating back to 1984 with all M.O.T's and current V5 forms.








This car is a highly desirable and rare model presented in Graphite Blue metallic paint work with Black full leather interior trim. The GT3 is V.A.T qualified and has been imported in to the UK from Europe and comes with all the import duty and fees paid along with the UK V.A.T has been paid as well. It has been supplied through an official Porsche dealer and all the books and documentation has been stamped by the dealer but has not been registered in the UK to date. The full Porsche warranty and Porsche assistance policies are valid for this model in the UK and Europe.
